Move Made to Mirror US Soccer Contract Calendars
CHICAGO (September 14, 2021) – The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) has formally announced a shift to a spring/fall season to mirror the US soccer landscape. The current fall season will be recorded as a stand-alone table.
"While the current season has been very exciting, it is hard not to look toward the new calendar,” says NISA Commissioner John Prutch. “A spring-to-fall season will make it easier for clubs to contract with players, establish venue commitments for the entire year, and align with the traditional soccer sponsorship calendar. This will be extremely beneficial to our league as we continue to grow.”
