CHICAGO (June 15, 2023) – The National Independent Soccer Association today proudly announced it received an application for membership from Phoenix-based start-up club Arizona Monsoon FC (AMFC). Upon acceptance by the Board of Governors, full admission for the club is dependent upon U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
“NISA is thrilled to return to Phoenix next season,” says NISA Executive Vice President Josh Prutch. “We are adding quickly and smartly to what will be a great western presence for the league. Importantly, we are proud to help bring professional soccer to more communities across the country.”
The club will join Irvine Zeta FC and Strikers FC in the on-boarding process that has proven to ready clubs for the standards needed in professional soccer. AMFC expects to take to the pitch in the 2024 season. The club will make subsequent staff announcements, including head coach and tech director, and other information public in the coming weeks.
