CHICAGO (September 1, 2023): Retroactive July 19 Gold Star FC Detroit (GSFC) v Los Angeles Force (LAF): This match has been deemed a 3-0 forfeit victory for LAF. The match could not be played at GSFC’s home venue (Madonna College) as the field did not pass FIFA inspection by a third-party vendor several days prior. The secondary field that GSD has was neither available at the time, nor was it approved for play by USSF. The field at Madonna University has since had extensive maintenance and has successfully passed all inspections and is now fully approved and deemed fully safe for use by USSF.

This is a difficult decision for GSFC, but it also demonstrates the stringent requirements set-forth by USSF and NISA for all professional clubs.
