NISA Announces September 2023 Performers of the Month Awards

CHICAGO (October 23, 2023) – Today the National Independent Soccer Association announced its July Performers of the Month awards. Determined by a select set of NISA front office staff, the winners are:
- Player of the Month: Player who demonstrated his abilities on the field above and beyond any other player in the league
- Daniel Bedoya of ALBION San Diego (ASD) was an offensive force in September. The midfielder was everywhere in ASD’s 3-1 win over Gold Star FC on Sept. 24 recoding a brace and adding an assist. He also found the net in a 4-0 win over Savannah Clovers FC on Sept. 21.
- Coach of the Month: Coach who led his team to significant results and led by example both on and off the field
- Alex Kao, Maryland Bobcats FC. The club went undefeated in September with a 2-1-0. While the club held at home against City Union 2-0, it was an impressive 0-2 win on the road at Michigan Stars FC that sealed the honor.
- Club of the Month: An off the field award to the Club that best promoted their brand and image within their local community
- ALBION San Diego juggled alternate venues due to stadium availability maintaining operations standards, but – just as importantly – maintaining a strong fan experience and engagement.
- Operations Team of the Month: Awarded to the Game Day Operations staff who best embraced and followed the league standards set forth by the league office
- Los Angeles Force: LAF hosted three matches during September. This included the reschedule of a match vs. Gold Star FC Detroit. Each match during September was held with outstanding execution by the Force Game Day Operations Staff. Further, all three visiting clubs rated the Force staff highly following each match.
