CHICAGO (June 21, 2024) – The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) released the NISA Independent Cup (NIC) clubs for the 2024 edition. Twenty-one amateur clubs will join all nine NISA clubs with matches scheduled to begin the weekend of July 6. As previously announced, every NISA club will begin play in the first round and it will be amateur clubs being given first round byes.
“This years tournament will be very exciting just from the format alone,” says NIC Tournament Director Matt Morse. “One of the key objectives is for amateur clubs to get a better sense of what it takes to perform like a professional organization both on and off the pitch. What better way than for there to be more face-offs with the NISA clubs?”
Winners of Round I matches will play the weekend of July 14. Regional championships are slated for the weekend of July 28.
Matches will stream on NISA+ at watch.NISASoccer.com. Clubs interested in more information on the 2024 NISA Independent Cup or future competitions, please contact mattm@nisasoccer.com.
