CHICAGO (July 16, 2024) – Today the National Independent Soccer Association announced its June Performers of the Month awards. Statistics are analyzed by NISA official stats partner Wyscout and winners are determined by a select set of NISA front office staff.

• Player of the Month: Player who demonstrated his abilities on the field above and beyond any other player in the league.
  • Tyler Gabarra – Maryland Bobcats FC: Gabarra was on a tear during MBFC’s unbeaten June scoring three goals and assisting on two others.
• Coach of the Month: Coach who led his team to significant results and led by example both on and off the field.
  • Alex Kao – Maryland Bobcats FC: MBFC is currently on an eight match winning streak with five in June…and three on the road.
• Club of the Month: An off the field award to the Club that best promoted its brand and image within its local community.
  • Savannah Clovers FC: SCFC continues to be a force in the community. June brought more proof.
    • June 5 Pride Night: special Community Event highlighting the First City Pride Center, an inclusive advocacy, social and service organization actively working to meet the needs for safety, empowerment, education and well-being of Greater Savannah’s LGBTQIA+ community
    • June 22 Train Like a Pro: SFCF coaches trained boys and girls aged 14-18 and received a free matchday ticket, a matchday experience, and met players and staff. This included a locker room visit, talks from  Coach Proctor, a halftime 4v4 match
    • Introduced 4- for-$30 family bundle tickets
    • Early Independent Cup promotions for July 6 – a Military & First Responders Night honoring heroes and supporting a great cause. For every ticket sold, $2 will be donated to the Nine Line Foundation
• Operations Team of the Month: Awarded to the Match Day Operations staff who best embraced and followed the league standards set forth by the league office.
  • Savannah Clovers FC: SCFC hosted three matches in the month of June while maintaining exceptional standards in all areas of game-day operations and match presentation. In addition to their home contests, the operations staff, led by Chris Miller and Brian Sykes, successfully navigated a three-match road trip for the club.​
