405 Derby Match Recap - LA Force vs. Capo FC 04/17/2026

Apr 17, 2026

In a rematch of the 2025 NISA Pro Cup final, the Los Angeles Force defeated Capo FC 3-1 last Saturday at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium in San Juan Capistrano, CA, in the 405 Derby.

The Force struck first with a goal from Alejandro Juarez to take the lead. LA added another goal with a nice chip from Jose Montes de Oca, giving his side a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, LA continued its stellar offensive form as George Almeida slotted it past the goalkeeper to give the Force a three-goal advantage. Capo FC pulled one back with a goal from Uriel Sanchez to cut LA's lead.

However, later in the match, Force goalkeeper Mark Gamez received a red card after colliding with a Capo FC player outside the box, leaving LA with ten men. Capo FC could not capitalize on the man advantage, as LA Force takes all three points and sits atop the table in the Southwest Region with nine points from three matches in the 2026 NISA Spring Showcase.

On Saturday, the Force will host Problems FC at St. Anthony High School Stadium, while Capo FC's next match will be against Inland Empire FC at JSerra Catholic High School Stadium. Sin City FC will take on Royal Society FC at Mater Academy East High School Stadium.
