The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) is pleased to announce its New York-based club, New Amsterdam Football Club (NAFC), as its newest member club. NAFC's admission will bring a meaningful derby to the New York metropolitan area. While the team will take the field in the future, post COVID-19, New Amsterdam FC will take the virtual field and participate in the NISA FIFA 20 Tournament starting April 24th. To our knowledge, this marks the first time a professional club will play virtual soccer competition before hitting the field for league play. Further club announcements and official league play details will be forthcoming.
