NISA Statement Regarding Oct 30 SD 1904 Red Card

Saturday night, in the 89th minute of the match between host 1904 FC and Stumptown AC, the match referee issued an undefined red card to a 1904 player for issuing a racist language toward a Stumptown player.

1904 FC was made aware of the details of the incident after the match and immediately terminated the player’s contract. The National Independent Soccer Association appreciates and firmly stands behind the club’s swift action.

NISA is an anti-racist organization. The league and its member clubs will not be indecisive in addressing racist and abusive actions from players, clubs or match attendees.
