WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (January 14, 2021) – The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) enthusiastically welcomes new member club 1000 Oaks FC. The Westlake Village / Thousand Oaks community will join the world of professional soccer bringing the beautiful game closer to the large and diverse area that forms the borderline of Los Angeles County and Ventura County.
“The addition of 1000 Oaks not only brings more presence to the west coast, but it brings in a very strong ownership group,” says NISA Executive Vice President Josh Prutch. “Mark (Noorzai) and his team bring an outstanding foundation in the community, as a keen eye for growth on the pitch and in the front office. We are excited to see the club develop over the next couple of years.”
The owners of 1000 Oaks FC, led by businessperson and club CEO Mark Noorzai, want to combine soccer with their education and entrepreneurship ecosystems to help anyone achieve their goals. They provide youth scholarships to hundreds of universities, have access to local and national corporate sponsorships, and want to financially leverage their blockchain, NFT, fintech and medtech technologies to support their community and team.
“We are thrilled to have our application accepted by NISA’s Board and to bring professional soccer to our area,” says Noorzai. “With the acceptance into NISA, we now have completed our soccer ecosystem. We are excited to demonstrate how high-tech and sports can pave the way for so many people to enjoy the beautiful game. Our number one goal is to empower people to think big and have a clear path to achieve their goals through education, entrepreneurship and now soccer.”
The 1000 Oaks youth system will expand over the next couple of years to carry up to 200 teams. The club will also partner with the non-profit scholarship organization Achieve Goals, Inc.
